Danish Exchange Programme with LVISN

LVISN, in pursuit of academic & cultural integration beyond continents, hosted a 23 member Danish delegation under a Student Exchange Programme from 26 Sep - 27 Sep 2023. This programme was aimed at providing the incoming delegation an insight into India’s rich socio-cultural ethos and contemporary educational system. The preliminary bonds having been established through social media, the delegation was greatly impressed with the traditional reception and warm hospitality of their Indian counterparts. In her welcome address, Director Principal, Dr Ruchi Seth, highlighted the importance for such programmes towards establishing closer ties between the two cultures. The Danish students performed a Folk Dance depicting the artistic & cultural traditions of their country, which was well received by the audience. Thereafter all students participated in a ‘Joint Theater Workshop’ aimed at comprehensive depiction of each other’s cultural & literary legacies. Post school hours, all the Danish students accompanied their Indian counterparts for a ‘Night out with Indian Families’ to understand the strong family system and taste the food flavours of India in a homely & informal atmosphere. On 27 September, ‘YOGA for Holistic Wellbeing’ was organized by school students for the visitors. A day-long heritage tour of the National Capital followed, which included visits to the famous Archeological Park in Mehrauli, the National War Memorial & India Gate at Kartavya Path, wherein they paid rich homage to the brave martyrs who had laid down their lives in the service of our motherland. This gesture of the Danish students and their Indian counterparts has also been acknowledged through an official tweet by the Indian Army. Students on both sides were adequately enriched and established life-long bonds amongst themselves, thereby promoting ‘Global Peace & Oneness’ on Planet Earth.
