Deutsch Utsav 2022

The destination for fun-learn carnival was Mayo College, Ajmer, where 17 students of Grades VIII – XII of Lotus Valley International School, Noida, along with the German teacher, Ms Megha Gupta, participated in the Deutsch Utsav 2022. The event kick-started with an engaging ice-breaking session including fun games and rounds of friendly introduction. Quiz, Spell Bee and painting competitions on the subsequent days forged new friendships. The highlight of the event was the presence of Herr Johannes Höber, the Counsellor and Head of Cultural Department, Federal Republic of Germany, where students freely interacted with him. A cultural evening rendered a colourful hue to the carnival, mesmerising spectators with dance and musical performances by the students of Mayo College. Amidst the fanfare, LVISN students proved their mettle by winning several accolades. The first position in the group song competition was won by Keertika V. Kumar of Grade XI, Yashica Malhotra of Grade IX and Namya Kapoor, Shirin Chahal, and Ritkriti Arora of Grade VIII. The final round of Spell Bee was won by Mannat Khanna of Grade VIII, the third position in the Comic Strip making competition was won by Aashna Gupta of Grade XI while Kuhuk Katiyar of Grade XI secured the third position in Poetry Recitation. The final day had the students visit a museum, replete with artefacts, followed by the screening of a German movie, and an interaction with Her Excellency, Frau Katharina Wieser, the Austrian Ambassador to India. The trip ended on a high note with the closing ceremony, where LVISN was awarded the third best delegation among all the competing schools.
