A workshop on NCF – Foundational Years was conducted for teachers of classes I and II on Saturday, 18.11.2023 by Ms. Chandeep Marwah, an education training consultant and a lead trainer with ‘Seed to Plant’ publication. The session provided a platform to understand the child- centred approach as envisaged by NEP 2020, making the attendees well versed with its various facets. It was a great opportunity for facilitators to get acquainted with A-Z of NEP for Foundational years. The five step learning process, the ‘choice-wonder-joy’ element for children’s learning process, foundational literacy and numeracy, scaffolding and gradual release of responsibility, etc. were some of the criteria that made the session enriching, interactive and informative for all present.
Starting from the ice-breaking enactment by the resource person motivating all present to follow, bringing drama and storytelling twist in a fun manner to explanation of the policy in an inspiring and excited approach, motivated everyone. The workshop concluded on a positive note by Early Primary In charge, Ms. Mona Kalra praising Ms. Marwah’s engaging style, reiterating the immense significance of NCF-FS and how as a school, we are all committed in providing the best learning experience for our children.
