Counselling Department- We Care
Lotus Valley International School has carved a niche for itself in providing students holistic education. The school’s counselling department is committed to fostering the psycho-social wellbeing of its students, teachers and parents.
The school’s counselling department comprises a team of trained and experienced Counselling Psychologists who specialise in working with children and adolescents.
Role of school counsellors at Lotus Valley:
- Assessment of a student’s emotional and behavioural concerns
- Providing counselling support to help a student address his/her challenges
- Referring a student to other professionals, if required
- Partnering with teachers and/or family members to assist with students’ concerns
The counselling sessions are specially curated to support students in various domains such as:
- Academic achievement
- Personal development
- Social development
- Career awareness
- Cyber safety
- Peer education
Subscribing to the motto ‘We CARE’ , the aim of the department is to create an emotionally safe space, and an accepting, caring environment in the school by encouraging students to explore and discover ways of living happily and successfully. Every year, many workshops like Cyber Safety, Adolescent Education Program, Peer Mentoring, and Buddy to Bully are conducted. The team aims to work toward building a conducive ecosystem for students to be happy and self-confident young boys and girls.
