Promoting Inclusivity in Educational Institutions

LVISN was invited to the Educators Workshop on 'Promoting Inclusivity in Educational Institutions', organized and conducted by Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar (supported by the High Commission of Canada). The session was a part of the school campaign, ‘Breaking Barriers,’ focused on Gender Sensitization and creating respectful educational spaces. The discussions included a vast gamut of topics such as the gender, sexuality, human rights and LGBT+ rights, their challenges, history, diversity and inclusion at workplaces, educational spaces, media representation, allyship, creating inclusive educational spaces, breaking gender stereotypes and using inclusive language. The panel discussion, moderated by Action for Life Foundation representative Mr. Abhishek Rai, chaired by Ms. Rudrani Chettri (Mitra Trust), Ms. Anjali Gopalan (Executive Director of Naz Foundation) and Ms. Liza Hazarika (School Counsellor, Army Public School, Queer Affirmative Counsellor), laid a strong foundation of inclusivity in youth, organisations and institutions and focused on encouraging students to become the change makers. The attendees of LVIS Noida, Academic Coordinator, Ms. Sukriti Roy, School Counsellor,Ms. Pankhuri Sama and Ms. Rishu Kapur, PGT Mathematics found the session extremely insightful and thought-provoking
