Morning assemblies form an integral part of school life. They help in building a culture of communication and representation of various social issues, which are necessary for student awareness and deliberation. October 12, 2022 marked the first assembly of Grade X at Lotus Valley, Noida, post the pandemic, on the theme, ‘Mental Health Awareness’. Beginning with a skit to establish the sub-theme, Gratitude and Benevolence, students went on to showcase their multifarious talents through dance, song and a street play. A discussion on the noble contributions made by the students of LVISN during the pandemic through physical donations and online medical portal inspired all students to invest in similar altruistic causes. The street play lucidly demonstrated the effects of bullying on one’s mental health, thus underscoring the need to unite against bullying and treat mental health just as any other affliction. The school Principal, Dr Ruchi Seth complimented the students on putting up a great show and encouraged them to imbibe the learning from the assembly.
