Led by the Middle School Student Council, parents, teachers and administrative staff came together to celebrate India's joyous 77th Independence Day, brought together by sentiments of patriotism and national pride, to colour the environs of LVISN blue, green, and saffron on 15 August, 2023! It was a celebration of unity in diversity and a reaffirmation of the glory of our nation!
Commencing with the flag hoisting and singing of the national anthem, the programme comprised a melodious medley of patriotic songs, and a rousing, riveting rendition of "Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai", which was met with thunderous applause! Vice Principal, Ms Shilpika Dass, administered the Panch Pran Pledge to all present, an initiative by the Honble PM Shri Narendra Modi to inspire all Indians to proudly take to nation building, and welcomed the Lotus family to the glorious celebration. The Lotusian sons and daughters of the soil clenched a fistful of soil during the pledge as epitome of their commitment to "meri maati mera desh". The Vote of Thanks was administered by Incharge Middle Wing, Ms Neerja Rishi, bringing proceedings to a close.
