LVIS Noida wins the Best School Delegation in SBS MUN
A team of 9 students from Grades IX – XII participated in the Model United Nations organised by Step By Step School, Noida on the 4th and 5th of November, 2022. Besides the Fourth Estate, the committees simulated were UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), UN Historic Security Council (UNHSC), All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM), CIA Cabinet, and European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET). Each of these committees undertook substantial research to devise sustainable solutions to problems related to patterns of development and their impact on human lives. The delegates of Crisis Committees (CIA and UNHSC) deliberated upon the challenges faced by the world in the late 20th century and brought to it a fresh perspective of the 21st century.
The LVIS team demonstrated exceptional research, leadership, negotiation and diplomatic skills in the conference and brought home significant laurels. Hriday Singh Antal of Grade IX won the Best Delegate award for representing the USSR in the UNHSC and Aryan Arora of Grade IX bagged the Best Delegate award for representing Bhupendrabhai Patel of the BJP in the AIPPM. The participants also secured the most coveted, Best School Delegation trophy, making the Lotus Valley fraternity proud of its winning legacy.
