A workshop on "The Zones of Regulation" was recently held for the teachers of grades III to V at LVISN, introducing them to an impactful framework designed to support students in managing their emotions and behaviours. The session delved into the four colour-coded zones that define different emotional states: Blue (low energy or sadness), Green (calm and focused), Yellow (heightened alertness or frustration), and Red (intense emotions like anger or anxiety).Teachers were guided through the process of helping students identify their current emotional zone and apply targeted strategies to achieve self-regulation. This approach is aimed at fostering better emotional control, enhancing focus, and encouraging positive social interactions within the classroom. The workshop highlighted how integrating the Zones of Regulation into daily teaching practices can create a more supportive and responsive learning environment, benefiting both educators and students alike.
