On July 12th, the students of Grade IV Venna conducted an assembly that vividly brought to life the crucial message of Sustainable Development Goal 15, "Life on Land." This global initiative emphasizes the importance of protecting, restoring, and sustainably using terrestrial ecosystems, which include forests, wetlands, drylands, and mountains. These ecosystems are vital for maintaining ecological balance and supporting biodiversity.
The students delivered a powerful play that illustrated the severe consequences of human activities such as deforestation, desertification, and poaching. The play served as a stark reminder of the repercussions humanity would face if we fail to address these issues.
The assembly concluded with an enchanting dance performance themed "Earth," which served as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to take immediate and necessary steps to protect and preserve our terrestrial ecosystems.
