At LVISN, we strongly believe in Inclusive Education, and are continuously working on providing all children with equal opportunities. Our teachers attend regular workshops and seminars to enrich our students’ learning.
The school’s faculty members- Ms Seema Rana (CLE Head), Ms Sukriti Roy (Academic Coordinator), Ms Ragini Bansal (TGT English) and Ms Esha Puneyani (Special Educator) were enthusiastic participants of a path breaking session conducted by CBSE on 18 April 2023. The session centred on the new progressive frontiers of learning and assessment of CWSN students broadly focused on Hearing, Visual and Cognitive disabilities.
Dr Pragya discussed the Universal Design of Learning that provides all students an equal opportunity to participate in the exam. Her focus was on helping facilitators design inclusive and equitable assessment without making our special children feel excluded. The subject experts also introduced the identified domains of disabilities to the participants including the ground challenges faced by students with hearing limitations during Boards Exams and Mr Ramdas spoke on the visual limitations followed by Dr Renu Malviya who spoke of the cognitive limitations.
It was a stimulating session wherein teachers could get better insight into the diverse needs of our children with special needs for a wholesome learning experience.
