Special Assembly : Gurupurab Classes I & II

Special Assembly : Gurupurab

“Awal Allah Noor Upaaya,Kudrat Ke Sab Bande Ek Noor Te Sab Jag Upjaya, Kaun Bhale Kaun Mande………..”

Keeping with the secular ethos of the school, the students of Class 1 Lavender celebrated and presented the special assembly with great fervour and enthusiasm on the occasion of Gurpurab. The students presented a medley of activities to commemorate & remember the birth and philosophy of Guru Nanakji, the first Sikh Guru and founder of Sikhism.

The divine assembly commenced with the recitation of regular prayer, Pehli paudi 'Ek Onkar Satnaam' of Japji saahib. The young lotusians enchanted the audience with singing of devotional hymns in Prabhat pheri carrying Guru Granth sahibji, Nishan sahib, musical instruments and showering of flowers. The students showcased the life history of Guru Nanak Devji with a well-enacted skit accompanied with a few interesting facts. They presented the religious ceremony observed in the Gurudwara on this day with élan and confidence and sang the mesmerizing Shabad Gurubani too. The significance of the teachings (Vand chakhna, Naam japna and Kirat karna)of Guru Nanak Devji was beautifully brought forth by young lotusians.

It was indeed a great learning experience for one and all present!
