Independence Day Celebrations - Classes I and II

‘Nothing is more precious than independence and liberty!’

Keeping in mind the great splendour, joy and respect for our motherland, the 72ndIndependence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. The children were actively engaged in creative activities for almost a week prior to the Independence Day.

Circle time was dedicated to discussions about the significance and importance of the National festival, the relevance of tri-colours in our country’s flag and the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters.

Independence Day was the theme for the corridors and display boards. Students made tri - colour wall hangings and decorations to give their corridors a patriotic look.

A PPT based on the  facts of India’s freedom struggle, followed by soul touching songs like ‘Nanha Munna Raahi’, ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ created an aura of national pride. These videos evoked patriotic feelings amongst the students.
