21st MAY – 25th MAY 2016
It was in the wee hours of the morning of 21st May 2016, that a jubilant and eager team of 76 students of grade 5, accompanied by 8 teachers set out on the Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty trip for 5 days and 4 nights.  They arrived at the Bangalore airport at 9:00 am and proceeded to Mysore by coach where they checked into Hotel Regaalis, had lunch and relaxed for a while. In the evening they visited the famous Vrindavan gardens and fish aquarium where they got to see a variety of fishes; thereafter they headed back to the hotel for dinner and wound up for the day. 
On DAY 2 after breakfast they set out for Ooty and reached there by lunch. The afternoon was spent in visiting the Doddabetta tea factory wherein the children observed the various processes of tea manufacturing. They visited the chocolate factory also and then shopped for varieties of tea, chocolates, and other knick knacks. Later in the evening, they headed for the night stay at the Misty Grove resort located at Masinagudi. After a sumptuous meal, the children set off to bed for a relaxing sleep. 
On DAY 3 the children woke up to a misty morning and had fun playing in the lap of nature, took a stroll and spent time learning about the vegetation and flowers of that area. The events planned for the day were visit to the botanical garden and Doddabetta peak; the highest peak in the Nilgiri hills. From the peak they witnessed the aerial view of Ooty and captured the beautiful landscape on their cameras. Later they headed back to the resort where a bonfire was lit and the children had fun dancing to some rocking numbers.
On DAY 4 they headed back to Mysore. On the way, the children relished some tender coconuts to refresh themselves. At Mysore, a guided tour of the Mysore palace was organized. They all posed for a photograph with the Mysore palace as the backdrop, which they carried with them as memoirs. They then checked into the Regaalis for lunch and relaxed for a while. The evening was set aside for an entertaining magical cum musical show at the hotel, sightseeing of Chamundi hills and the illuminated Mysore city. The children enjoyed shopping for their loved ones. After dinner they enjoyed the pyjama party planned in their rooms.
On DAY 5 they checked out from the hotel and visited the silk factory, where they had a hands-on experience about the various steps involved in weaving a silk fabric. Thereafter, they proceeded to the airport, had lunch enroute and boarded their flight to Delhi at 18:00 hours, cherishing with them rich memories of the trip. They reached school at 23:30 hours and departed for their homes. Overall the trip was a great learning experience for the children and they had made a lot of new friends on this trip, besides learning valuable skills for life like team spirit, responsibility for self and others, caring and sharing, to name a few.
