On 7th June, 2015 nine teachers and eighty students from classes IX and X  assembled in the school at  0500 hrs   to embark on the excursion to Chandigarh and Manali. There was an air of excitement. At 0520 hrs the group boarded the buses and departed for Chandigarh. They had breakfast enroute  and reached Chandigarh at about 1300 hrs. After check in followed by dinner the group visited Nek Chand’s Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake and Pinjore Garden.
On 8th June, 2015, after breakfast the group departed for Manali. The whole day was spent in travelling. On 9th June the children visited the Hidamba Temple, Van  Vihar and the Mall Road. Children enjoyed shopping and bought momentoes for their families and friends. During dinner the children were informed that they had to assemble at 0315 hrs in the hotel reception the next day to leave for Rohtang Pass.  The children were punctual and did not need any reminders in the morning. They were all very keen to go and play in the snow.  On reaching Rohtang Pass the children had a gala time playing and throwing snow balls at each other.  After enjoying for about four hours the group was exhausted  and started on the return journey to the hotel. After having lunch  the group rested for some time and after that the children were once again ready to visit the Mall Road and do some more shopping. They returned to the hotel for dinner. Post dinner the children enjoyed dancing to some popular numbers.
On 11th June it was time to leave the scenic beauty of  Manali and depart for school.  The group visited the Shawl factory and Mata Temple  at Kullu on the way. We reached school at 0800 hrs on 12th June. There was a group of eager parents waiting to pick up their wards. The smiles on the faces of the children showed that they were happy and had enjoyed the excursion.
