Workshop on Yoga

An interactive Yoga workshop was organized for teachers of classes VI to XII on 30th June, 2015. It was taken up by renowned Yoga instructor Yoga Bhartiji .

He talked about the various kinds of stress and physical ailments and how to deal with it effectively using simple exercises, breathing techniques to induce relaxation to improve strength. The simple pranayams and breathing techniques taught were extremely effective.  In his view, Yoga helps in controlling an individual mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind. As the Bhagavad-Gita says, “A person is said to have achieved yoga, the union with the Self, when the perfectly disciplined mind gets freedom from all desires, and becomes absorbed in the Self alone.” The teachers felt relaxed, rejuvenated and energized after it.
