Awards Recived By The Interact Club Of Lotus Valley International
School, Noida
“Winning is not always about being the best, sometimes it’s
about holding on the longest.”
When we work hard in life, we can achieve anything and overcome
any obstacle. Moreover, we can also lead a better life knowing
that we have put in our all and given our best to whatever work we
are doing.
The District Interact Thanksgiving Programme was held on 28 June
2022 at Amity University, Noida. The Interact Club of LVISN has
worked extremely hard throughout this Rotary year and we are proud
of our team to get awarded with multiple Rotary citations. It is,
without a doubt, clear that dedication pays off. We are sincerely
grateful to Rotary and District 3012 members to recognise our
efforts, appreciate and motivate our members to continue working
towards making our society a better place to live in.
The LVISN Interact Club was awarded with the following citations:

honour one can receives in Rotary.

distinguished award.

BEST SUPPORTING PRINCIPAL: We would like to
extend gratitude to our dearest principal ma’am for supporting
us in every social initiative.

OUTSTANDING TEACHER INCHARGE: Our respected
teacher In-charge, Ms. Anjli Bawa, has never failed to help the
interact members to come up with bold and creative ideas for the
betterment of society.

BEST ZONAL INTERACT REPRESENTATIVE: ZIR Itr.
Tanvi Kamra was awarded with the Best ZIR award, and we are so
proud of her. She has always been the most helpful and kind peer
interactor.

ZIR Trophy: This trophy was awarded to all
ZIRs including Itr. Pavani Tyagi and Itr. Tanvi Kamra for their
efforts through the rotary year 2021-22.
Adding to this, our club also received certificates for numerous
events and honours bestowed on the LVISN Interact Club. Without
the participation and efforts of all our members and rising
Interactors, this wouldn’t have been possible. They form the heart
of our club. Thank you for making this club and becoming a family
to one another. Looking forward to greater success and
achievements for this club.
Community Service 2017

World Religion Day Assembly - To create awareness among students
about various religions and living with everyone in peace &
harmony.

January 20th - 22nd 2017
- RYLA Camp (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards)
-
The camp was a great fusion of scholastic as well as
co-scholastic activities; motivational speeches by eminent
personalities, cultural performances and sports. Students were
inspired to actively participate in community service. Listed
below are the students’ achievements:

LVIS bagged the first prize in JAZBAA talent show for dance
on the national song, Vande Mataram.

Vandaash Kaushik class X was recognized as the best student
delegate.

Charu Tyagi class X was awarded the first prize for
‘Matchless Female Star Icon’ at the Fashion Show.
-
Sumana Basu class X was honored for her exemplary
performance of Odissi Dance.

Republic Day Assembly - To create a sense of patriotism among
the students and tell them about the relevance of this day.

Blood Donation Camp by Rotary - Several parents and teachers
donated blood and were told about Thalassemia. A ‘nukkad natak’
was also presented to raise awareness.

World Peace & Understanding Day - To create a sense of
harmony and peaceful approach towards living in this world with
people from different backgrounds.
-
Donations to Senior Citizens Welfare Association - Making
students realize the joy of giving and making others happy by
donating food items to a senior citizens office.
- Fashion show by NGO Tamana
Diya Popli and Akshita Varshney from Lotus Valley International
School, Noida, participated in a fashion show organized by Tamana,
an NGO working with differently-abled children, in association
with the Fashion Design council of India. To quote the
students “it was an exciting and a moving experience for us”.
- Airtel Delhi Half Marathon
Three students of classes XI & XII, Pragun Sharma, Sagar
Sharma and Akshay Sharma of Lotus Valley International School,
Noida, participated in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon on 20th
November, 2016, under the Youth Cares category, as part of the
marathon contingent supporting Tamana NGO.
- 8th EU-India Environment Forum
Students attended the 8th EU-India Environment Forum that was
organized by European Union Delegation in India and Indian
Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC)
together with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale
Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, The Energy and Resources Institute
(TERI), Confederation of the Indian Industry (CII). The
forum held discussions on assessment of India’s current and future
use of resources and how to develop a resource efficiency strategy
for India in four sectors – mobility, buildings and construction,
renewable energy, and plastic and e-waste management.

Community Service 2016
The Interact Club of Lotus Valley carried out the following
community service activities during the session 2016-2017:

April 22nd 2016
-
Earth day assembly, Poster, Collage and Bookmark making, and
awareness programme on "Youth, the future of our energy
resources".

Formation of Green Team to sensitize students about the
environment
- Labour Day Assembly for Students and Housekeeping staff.
- Waste Paper and Spectacles collection drive.
-
Each One, Reach One and Teach One Programme - adult literacy
programme. An initiative to motivate, teach and help illiterate
adults to become literate and independent. Interact club
students took the initiative to educate the housekeeping staff.

‘Green-o-bin’ items collection – ‘Green-o-bin’ organisation
which recycles waste papers collected 550 kgs of newspapers from
our school. In exchange, they gave eco-friendly items like
pen-stands, book marks, frames etc. to our school.

Inviting students less privileged – Students from Arya Darshan
Public School were invited to visit the exhibition ‘Aakriti’
creating a synergy between the two schools. Later, some of the
Science and Maths models prepared by our students were donated
to the school.

Carpooling Survey – Over 300 parents were requested by the
members of On the PTM day, members of the Interact Club got over
300 parents to fill a short MCQ survey on Carpooling, thus
creating awareness.

Bakery Sale: students made and sold delicious homemade items and
raised money for charity.

Celebration of ‘White Cane Day’ – Around 1500 flags sent to us
by IBA were sold to raise funds for the blind and the proceeds
were donated to the Blind Association.

DILA Visit (District Interact Leadership Assembly): 30 students
visited the DILA function to discuss the role and duties of the
members of Interact Club and to plan the events of Rotary Club.

Visit to SPCA shelter (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals): 8 students accompanied by a parent, visited the SPCA
shelter to learn about animal behaviour, animal welfare and
efforts of SPCA and to provide support to them.

Participated in an Essay Writing Competition as part of the
Polio Campaign at Hindu College.
-
Celebrated polio-free India by supporting Rotary in its efforts
towards eradication of Polio from our country.

Food-a-Thon - Collecting non perishable food items donated by
students of the school to give to Cheshire Home.

Shramdaan board - Setting up a bulletin board in the school to
update other students about the latest events & happenings
of Interact Club.
- Say No to Pollution Campaign.

Celebrating World Energy Conservation Day - Poster and Display
Board making Competition

Students set up a board on climate change & green energy,
made posters on conserving energy and learnt about saving it for
the betterment of the environment and their future.

Charity Sale of delicious homemade bakery items, mocktails,
bookmarks made by students.
-
Assisted residents of Cheshire Home to raise funds for the
establishment through a handicrafts sale.

Constitution Day - Celebrating the making of our constitution by
conducting an essay writing and poster making contest.

Danish Water Olympiad, students were able to test their
Environmental Quotient and enhance their appreciation &
knowledge about the environment.

Interact Video Contest - Making a video on ‘Making a Difference
– If Interactors Ruled the World’ with a hope to change the
world.

Visit to Cheshire Home to donate of food items & other
necessities collected by the students
