Dear Aditya Singh,
CONGRATULATIONS!
Aditya, an alumnus of LVISN, has 5 years experience across
consulting and venture capital. After completing his Engineering
from Delhi College of Engineering, he worked with McKinsey & Company
for 2 years where he advised clients in private equity and retail
across geographies. He then moved to a San Francisco based venture
capital firm, Firebolt Ventures, where he currently works alongside
tech icons like the founders of Google Ads and Google Shopping to
invest in early-stage tech companies across 14 countries. We are
proud that this alumnus of LVISN has secured admission to the iconic
Stanford University for an MBA.
I joined LVIS in 2006 and graduated in 2011 as part of the Science
batch. Throughout my time at LVIS, I had the honor of serving as the
Sport Captain in 2009 and Head Girl in 2010.
I was also a part of two enriching exchange programs to Germany,
one in 2009 and another in 2010.
Following my schooling, I pursued an integrated Masters in
Electronics Engineering with Nanotechnology (2015) from the
University of York, UK. During my time there, I took the
initiative to establish the first Society for Women in Engineering
at York. My quest for knowledge led me to New Zealand, where I
earned a PhD in Physics (2020) from the University of Auckland.
Post my doctorate, I had the privilege of interning at the Office of
the Prime Minister's Chief Science Advisor NZ.
Subsequently, I took on the role of a measurement scientist at
Toha Pvt Ltd, an environmental startup, contributing to projects
centered around sustainable agriculture, native reforestation, and
biodiversity.
Currently, I'm situated in the United States, holding the
position of a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Georgetown
University's School of Foreign Service and the Department of
Physics.
My ongoing research centers on the intersection of technology and
policy in the realm of low-carbon cement production enhancement in
the United States. Starting from October 2022, I am excited to begin
my role as an Associate at the World Resources Institute’s U.S.
Climate Program, focusing on industrial decarbonization.
I am deeply committed to advocating for women in STEM, and this
commitment led me to be selected as a Career Mentoring Fellow for
the American Physical Society in 2022.
“I am truly grateful for this wonderful opportunity to express my
heartfelt appreciation for my alma mater. It's not just a school,
but a place that has shaped me for a lifetime.
The words of encouragement and advice that I've received from my
teachers during assemblies and various events are etched in my
memory forever.
They have played a significant role in shaping my current
achievements and have been invaluable in propelling me towards my
current position.
The ethos of 'Arise, Awake, and Stop Not till the Goal is
Reached' has become my guiding principle, and I carry this
cherished motto with pride as I continue on my life's journey.”
“My journey at Lotus Valley has been nothing short of
transformative. From being a shy, sensitive student to a lead
orator and public speaker for multiple events, I am beyond
grateful to all my teachers who nurtured me into a confident,
empathetic and bold individual, ready to make his mark in this
world.
Whenever life gets challenging, I look back to my high school days
and remember all the great lessons I have learnt and the lifelong
memories I’ve made - and that’s all the inspiration I need to get
going. I pray that each student is blessed with a support system
like I did.
Remarkable teachers truly hold the power to shape the architects
of tomorrow.”
As I look back and reminisce about my 11-year journey at Lotus
Valley, a wave of nostalgia washes over me.
Not only has my school instilled the qualities required to survive
in the modern world, it has also played an instrumental role in
shaping me into a well-rounded individual. I am grateful for the supportive faculty who always managed to
indulge my curiosity and provide us with a multitude of
opportunities for our holistic development.
I embarked on my journey with LVIS during the 11th Grade in 2017.
The transformative impact of my two years at LVIS has left an
indelible mark on both my academic and personal growth. Right from
day one, the dedicated teachers at LVIS played an instrumental role
in fostering an environment where I felt not only accepted but also
encouraged to thrive. Their guidance doesn't confine itself to
academics; they actively contribute to our holistic development. I
found myself seeking their counsel on matters beyond the classroom,
a testament to their profound impact.
The state-of-the-art infrastructure at LVIS served as a catalyst for my involvement in a diverse array of activities. Whether it was honing my skills in Music Production at the music studio, engaging in debates, participating in Model United Nations, or competing in basketball at the inter-school level, LVIS provided the platform for me to explore a plethora of pursuits.
LVIS stands as a pivotal stepping stone in my academic journey and future endeavors. Its teachings extend far beyond the confines of the classroom and school premises, permeating into every facet of my life.
"I graduated from Lotus Valley in 2018, and I can confidently say
that it was a transformative journey. The school's dedicated
teachers nurtured not only my academic growth but also instilled in
me invaluable life values. Their unwavering commitment to education
and character development made me who I am today. I am forever
grateful for the profound impact LVIS has had on my life.”
My time at LVIS Noida, has been an incredibly enriching
experience. The academic journey here has been nothing short of
remarkable, as I have excelled academically with the support of
great mentors who go beyond teaching; they inspire and guide us
towards excellence in every facet of life. What sets Lotus valley
apart is its commitment to holistic development.
In this conducive environment, I have not only grown intellectually
but also emotionally and socially. Beyond the classrooms, I have
forged great friendships that have become an integral part of my
life. As I have moved forward and now pursuing my undergraduate
course, I carry with me not just knowledge but also a treasure trove
of good memories of school.
Currently pursuing Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering in
Pennsylvania State University, USA.
I am honored to share my experience with Lotus Valley
International School, Noida. From the moment I enrolled in the
school in 3rd grade till my graduation in 12th grade, I had received
unwavering support. One of the things that impressed me most about
the school is its commitment to fostering a well-rounded education.
The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and
clubs that cater to various interests, from sports to the arts. The
faculty to student ratio ensures that each and every student grows
in their own way. Needless to mention one of the primary reasons
which helped me achieve being awarded a scholar for six consecutive
years was the exceptional support from the teachers. The school not
only shapes academics of a student but is also accommodative of the
career goals. The school also offers a great range of courses in the
Higher Secondary School. I am currently a law student at OP Jindal
Global University and one of the factors that provided me an edge
over other in my university is that I had already been familiarised
with the legal industry through the Legal Studies course offered in
the school. Overall, I can’t recommend Lotus Valley International
highly enough!
I still fondly remember my first day as a Lotusian back in 2009, a
cheerful newcomer who was looking forward to meeting new people.
Being from the Batch of 2016, I seldom reflect upon 7 of the most
exciting years of my life, with a smile on my face! Little did I
know that those few years would end up defining my personality and
character, with each passing day. Lotus Valley for me has always
been a school that comes with endless opportunities for everyone to
fully explore their potential. I'm glad that I not just excelled in
my studies, but also made a mark by pursuing my passion for my
favourite sport- Cricket. It feels like yesterday when I first
played 'Under-19 Delhi team' when I was in LVIS.
This holistic development paved my way to pursue a BA(Hons) in
Philosophy from Hindu College, University of Delhi, followed by a
Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, two of the
most prestigious institutes in the country. Because of the plethora
of varied experiences that LVIS offered, I believe that I struck the
perfect balance between sports, extracurricular activities, and
studies. Currently, I'm working as a 'Risk and Information
Management Analyst' at 'American Express'.
I've had one of the most progressive journeys here at Lotus Valley!
I've not only made everlasting bonds with some of my classmates but
have also been fortunate to have been taught by the most competent
teachers.
As a proud Lotusian, I strongly endorse the school motto-"Arise,
Awake and Stop Not Till The Goal is Reached."
