Learning Bliss
The Curriculum & Examination Pattern
Our curriculum is equipped with a unique integration of
traditional educational theory and practice from India and
abroad. We address the needs of the students, and the school
leaver in today's new socio-economic climate. The rapid
changing trends of economic influence in terms of media and
burgeoning multinational approach to business is bringing
about a great paradigm shift in modern day life. We instill a
firm traditional and cultural base in our curriculum to ensure
a sense of identity, spiritualism and ethics in our students.
In addition to its affiliation with CBSE, the school also
offers options for the Advanced level suite of
examinations of Cambridge (UK) International.
Certificate examinations begin when our children reach the age
of seven, when they commence their studies for the Cambridge
Information Technology Awards that develop essential computing
skills up to the basics of website design and e-business, and
the key English Tests that enhance their increasing mastery of
spoken English. The checkpoint tests of Class VIII in English,
Maths and Science ensure that students are well prepared for
the curriculum choices that lie ahead.
Teaching & Learning
In line with our Core Philosophy, the teaching and learning
model designed by Lotus Valley thus aims to:
Emphasise directed discovery learning, where the teacher
facilitates, inspires and imparts a strong practical slant to
the entire learning experience.
To utilize many varied and interactive teaching methods,
including ‘cutting-edge’ technology to stimulate different
areas of intelligence. Out children not only realize the need
to learn, but actively want to learn.
To develop social, behavioral and life-skills in each child so
that they become fulfilled and highly productive member of
society.
To make each child responsible for themselves and ready to
create a position as a leader in the new economic and social
climate.
The Faculty
LIVS has a professional and highly qualified staff committed
to maintaining the philosophy and standards of the school. We
take pride in selecting the best of teachers to work at LIVS
through rigorous, stringent interviews. They view their work
as vocation, placing the welfare and education of our children
foremost in their professional lives. Keeping up with new
trends and methodologies of teaching, our staffs attend
regular seminars on “Smartboard” technology, computer-aided
learning and software packages specially designed to support
our new curriculum. Some of them participate in
distance-learning modules conducted by an international board
of educationalists.
