Dr (Mrs.) Shayama Chona, the only school educator who has been awarded the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, by the President of India, is the driving force behind the school. An alumnus of the prestigious Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' Public School, Dr. Chona has broken barriers to change the lives of many. She has launched major initiatives to promote the teaching of Science, Computers and Information Technology in schools. She has been serving as a member of 97 Advisory Boards and Managing Committees of 68 institutions. Member of Indian National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, Member of Governing Body of CBSE, Honorary Advisor in the Education Department of MCD, Member of the National Mission Authority (NMA) of National Mission for Empowerment of Women by the President of India. 

Her name finds place in the Limca Book of World Records 2007 for being conferred the maximum number of awards. She is also a Member Advisory Board Coca-Cola India Foundation, Member Medanta Independent Ethics Committee, Medanta ? The Medicity, Gurgaon. She is a member of the Stem Cell Committee of Ganga Ram Hospital. She has given concrete shape to her transcendent principles by setting up 'Autism CenterSchool of Hope', 'Tamana Special Education Centre' and 'Skill Development Centre - Nai Disha'. As the founder of three schools for children with special needs, she has been working tirelessly since 1984. A proud recipient of 54 awards including the Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri, two National Awards and one State Award, Dr Chona has served society and humanity with distinction and timeless dedication. It is her mission to educate and empower the abled and differently abled that helps her to stand apart. She believes that a child is God's gift to man and needs to be nurtured in an atmosphere of discovery, enquiry, learning, expression and communication. Our Director-Principal

Lotus Valley International School, Noida Principal
Dr. Ruchi Seth, Director-Principal, is well known in the national and international educational fraternity as a forward-thinking educator, an inspiring team leader, and a school administrator par excellence. Dr. Seth has an M.A & M.Ed, with a Ph.D in Psychology from IIT Delhi. Her rich experience of approximately three and a half decades includes teaching students in the age group spanning 3-18 years, imparting pre-service training to teachers to prepare them for the teaching profession, as well as school administration. 

Dr. Seth was the founder Principal of Delhi Police Public School which she nurtured for 18 years, following which she took over as Principal of Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok. For seven years she steered the school with her characteristic vigor and vision, inspiring her pupils to be keen learners, compassionate human beings and responsible citizens. Under her visionary leadership the school witnessed a remarkable growth trajectory, and was conferred the coveted International School Award by the British Council twice over. 

Dr Seth believes that in today's fast paced world, the purpose of education is not limited to the mere acquisition of knowledge. The real purpose of education is to prepare children to succeed in the modern world, make meaningful contributions to society, and be the agents of change for a better tomorrow. A self-confessed life-long learner, she also constantly pushes the frontiers of her own boundaries and believes that each day brings with it possibilities to do something new or differently. 

Dr. Seth's contribution to education goes beyond her role as school administrator. As Chairperson, International Award for Young People (formerly Duke of Edinburgh Award), North Zone, India, she coordinated and organized several youth development activities for a number of schools spread over the seven states of northern India. She has also been instrumental in forging exchange programs with several countries including Germany, France, Singapore, and Pakistan; and has undertaken a number of international projects with countries such as the United Kingdom and Korea. As a resource person to CBSE, NCERT and SCERT, she has brought to bear her vast experience to contribute in several ways in the field of education. 

Dr. Seth is the recipient of the CBSE National Best Teacher Award. She has also authored books on Social Science and Value Education. Recently, she co-authored a series of story books for young children, and mentored a publication on Life Skills. Apart from a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, she also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Management. Over a career spanning 24 years, she has donned multiple hats – teacher, editor, content developer, facilitator, Incharge – and is currently tasked with Co-Curricular Event Planning, Teacher Trainings, Pedagogical Initiatives, Social Media, Innovative Projects and International Programmes at LVISN.
